I hope to grow and learn as I travel the road to becoming, most importantly as a parent and a person. Our daughter Olivia is my world and my commitment, a remarkable young person, she teaches me more about Life and myself daily, I need to keep up. Life is here in this place but once, my deepest conviction, greatest joys and biggest challenges come from attempting to be the parent I want to be and need to be. Red Knot Photo-Design found its name from a tightly wound red rope necklace Live gave me several years ago. "Daddy this Knot is where we all come together." The Knot was very seldom ever removed from around my neck, I have now passed it on to Livie.</span></span></p> <p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 12.0px 0.0px; font: 11.0px Helvetica"><span style="font-size: small; "><span style="letter-spacing: 0px; ">I've been practicing the art of making images since the mid 1970's and have been working as a Professional Freelance Artist for 6 years. Several years ago I had the privilege of becoming published, currently I have images that dress several book covers, CD covers and corporate commercial catalogs. I am in the process of creating a fourth book cover piece. </span></span></p> <p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 12.0px 0.0px; font: 11.0px Helvetica"><span style="font-size: small; "><span style="letter-spacing: 0px; ">My experience was gathered by using any film I could afford and used manual cameras. Today most of my commissioned work is completed with the latest digital equipment. I have hopes of soon returning to using film as my primary media which will allow my clients a true art form. Both digital and film services will continue to be offered. </span></span></p> <p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 12.0px 0.0px; font: 11.0px Helvetica"><span style="font-size: small; "><span style="letter-spacing: 0px; ">Most of the images that you see displayed on my websites are as I saw them, little to no software manipulation, many were made with film slides or print scans. </span></span></p> <p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 12.0px 0.0px; font: 11.0px Helvetica"><span style="font-size: small; "><span style="letter-spacing: 0px; ">There is no real reason to put limits on what I will photograph, no labels, styles or categories. I photograph most everything not putting up walls to limit my clients’ or my own creativity, trying to remain open, objective and opportunistic. </span></span></p> <p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 12.0px 0.0px; font: 11.0px Helvetica"><span style="font-size: small; "><span style="letter-spacing: 0px; ">I have been proudly told that my art can be rudimentary, basic and rough but absolutely incredible, true.
